This Laurel is probably the cold hardiest, with a more dense, heavily branched and broader habit than the common Cherry Laurel. Commonly known as Schip Laurel, the leaves are narrow and dark green. Mature size is 4 to 6 feet tall and wide.

Dark green, shiny foliage is narrow and long with a pale underside. Tiny, white, and cup-shaped flowers bloom in the spring and have a lovely fragrance. Grows to 3 feet tall and 6 feet wide. Works great as a hedge or a specimen.

Moderate to rapid growing, 2 to 3 feet tall and spreading up to 9 feet at maturity. It grows full and thick in a ground-hugging fashion with lovely gray-green foliage. Excellent heat tolerance.
