The Julius and Schimpff families go “way back” as close friends and fellow Jeffersonville business owners. G.A. Schimpff’s Confectionery is one of the oldest, continuously operated, family-owned candy businesses in the United States, established in 1891. At Schimpff’s, you’ll not only step back in time with the 50’s-style soda fountain (still operating for a delicious lunch) and original tin ceiling, but you’ll also taste the purity of flavors in the candy that can only come from home-made family tradition.
